Vic Heredero
Vic Heredero, known artistically as Victoria Sickness, is a circus performer with a career that combines technique, creation and research stage. Completed studies in Circus Arts at the Centre de les Arts del Circ Rogelio Rivel (2016-2020), specializing in Cyr wheel and acrobatics of soil. Previously, they studied a Degree in Engineering of audio-visual Systems in the University Carlos III of Madrid (2008-2013).
Since 2018, Vic is the main vocalist and saxophonist tenor of the band The Marikarmen, where they also assumed the direction of the live performances and the performance on the stage. In parallel, leading his own circus company, cia. Victoria Sickness, with which they have created one of 12 minutes and a show of 50 minutes under his direction. Currently, it is located dip in a draft stage research on the body shemale called INVOCATIONS.
As a teacher, Vic teaches technique and tools of creation in the Escola de Circ Rogelio Rivel, where they also direct an annual creation with the participation of all students. Recently, they have exercised the direction of the Circ de Nadal, Espai de Circ Cronopis in Mataró (2024). Also works in caixa d’eines through La Central del Circ and in residència (2026/27) through La Poderosa.
Vic has also worked as an interpreter in the Combin 57 of the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris, and regularly collaborates with the factories of creation as a Central del Circ. Their artistic practice explores the boundaries of the movement, the gender and the expression queer, connecting disciplines and generating dialogues with the public from the perspective of experimental and avant-garde.
